Western Cape Premier Helen Zille visited The Carel du Toit centre for hearing impaired children on Wednesday, 22 June. This centre, situated on the premises of the Tygerberg Hospital, is the only school in the country which accommodates deaf children from as young as three weeks of age.

MEDIA24 Rachel’s Angels market day
The third Rachel’s Angels market day was a true family focused event that included entertainment by Blackkurrant, Chad Saaiman, La Vuvuzela, Axene and Byron Clarke. Each of the 20 participating schools had to select an entrepreneurial and fundraising venture, for which they had to draw up a business plan. They then had to bring this venture to life at the market day in the form of a stall.

The community of Netreg in Bonteheuwel, Cape Town became the proud owners of a brand new, multi-functional centre called Kabouter Drome Play School. The project, initiated by Property24.com, provided the school with a recycled shipping container which was turned into a play school and after care facility.
